THE INSPIRATION BEHIND OUR BRAND
Bonney was a force of nature - she was my beautiful, talented, selfless Sister-In-Law.
But more than that, she was a friend. The kind of friend you wanted in your corner; sassy, tenacious and loyal. We were in awe of her career and watched proudly as she rose through the ranks of the UK music industry.
When her life was tragically cut short by cancer at 39, we found ourselves lost and reeling from the sorrow of watching her have to say goodbye to her beloved husband and their 2 year-old son, Jack
In her final days, I promised Bonney I would look after Jack if he ever needed me. But with my own future uncertain at the time, deep down I had no idea how I could possibly keep that promise.
Then a miracle happened. Last minute I postponed my return to Dubai. I helped sort through a mountain of belongings that had accumulated during the chaotic 8 months of Bonney's illness.
. After days of organising, I found it, tucked in the pocket of an old bag: a simple, wireless bra.
On a whim, I tried it on. It was a revelation. For the first time in my life, I felt effortlessly supported. It didn’t pinch, dig, or constrain.
It felt like a hug... it felt like her.
I spent weeks scouring the internet for more bras like it, but any remnants of its origin had worn away. Then it dawned on me: What if I could make a bra that made every woman feel like this? Better still, what if this could become Bonney's legacy? A platform to help others, just as she would have done.
A year later Miss Bonney was born and in Bonney's memory, with every bra sold - we give a portion of the profits to someone in need of immediate help.
But this isn't just our story. It's yours too...
